How much does a project cost?
The prices indicated in our packs (bronze, silver, gold or platinum), are in euros including VAT. They include: the reward paid to the winning audio engineer and the Moja-audio commission.
To view our rates in detail, please visit the following page : our packs.
Which pack to choose?
For each type of project, you can choose between 3 and 4 packs (bronze, silver, gold and platinum). Each pack corresponds to different needs.
Your choice is then made according to the following criteria:
The number of stereo tracks in the song (only for mixing projects and mix + mastering)
The number of revisions included in Finalization phase
The reward awarded to the audio engineer (to attract the best participants)
Can I mix or master an EP / album?
An "EP/album" project allows to get a mastering for a set of songs (from 2 to 25) in order to benefit from a homogeneous sound rendering on a multi-title project.
The selection of the audio engineer is made on a single track called the "initial song": the musician makes this song available (by uploading it to the competition management page), the project traditionally begins with a qualification phase, then a final phase at the end of which the musician designates the winner.
Once the winner has been chosen, the musician must then send all the tracks to be mastered from the competition page in order to make them available to the audio engineer.
The musician and the audio engineer proceed together to finalize the project song by song. Proposals are no longer made on samples but on the entirety of the songs and according to the number of revisions indicated in the pack.
At the end of the project, the audio engineer sends a.zip or.rar file containing all the versions requested by the musician, and the latter completes the project in order to unlock the payment of the service.
Can I run multiple projects at the same time?
You can start several projects at the same time. On the other hand, you must make sure you have the availability to appreciate the different proposals of the audio engineers, and to communicate with them in order to obtain the best results.
How to protect my work?
See the article on our Blog.
How is the payment of the service processed?
The payment of the service comes at the launch of the project (after the creation and sending of your tracks). It is made by credit card via our provider Mangopay (consult the Mangopay Terms).
The payment of the reward to the winner audio engineer intervenes when you confirm the receipt of the final files and complete the project.
What is the "money back guarantee"?
If you do not obtain satisfaction during Qualification phase, Moja-audio will reimburse your payment in full. (cf Terms).
On the other hand, as soon as audio engineers are engaged in the next phase, the project become a Guaranteed project, reimbursement is no longer possible.
Which payment method to use?
The credit card (Visa, Mastercard) is the only accepted method of payment on the Moja-audio website.
Who are the audio engineers present on the platform and how are they selected?
Audio engineers wishing to join our community must first complete an invitation code request. A number of technical questions are then asked to judge their professional knowledge. After analyzing their answers, if they are validated, Moja-audio sends them a personal invitation code in order to create a "Audio engineer" account.
Moja-audio also regularly and spontaneously offers invitation codes to professional audio engineers.
Who will have access to my rough mix? my tracks?
The rough mix and the tracks of your song can not be listened to or downloaded by a simple visitor of the site, nor the other musicians.
Only audio engineers registered on our site can listen to your rough mix and only those participating in your project can download the source tracks.
Why make my choice on an sample?
In order to protect the work done by audio engineers, the choice is made on an sample of 40% of the song (3 minutes max). This allows the audio engineers to preserve their work against any misuse by unscrupulous musicians.
This sample, as representative as possible, is determined by you at the time of the project creation.
Can I collaborate live with a particular audio engineer?
Moja-audio offers you the opportunity to launch "One-to-One" projects to collaborate with the audio engineer of your choice, among the finalists in your previous projects.
How to prepare my tracks?
Here are the basic rules to follow when preparing your tracks :
Clean your mix : send only the needed files. It's not the engineer's job to select the vocal take to be used in the song.
You have to export each channel as a .wav file or .aiff, 44.1 and preferably 24bit, starting at the beginning of the song and ending when the sound on this track ends, or all the way to the end.
Stereo tracks must be exported as stereo interleaved files, no need to export separate left/right tracks.
Your tracks must not clip (go over 0 level), please leave at least 6dB of "headroom" (dynamic range before the signal goes to 0dBFS)
Turn of your processing, unless they have an 'artistic" purpose : favorite guitare effect, autotune setting, etc.). Every other effects (compressor, EQ, reverb, etc.) must be turned off before export, and NO EFFECT must be on the stereo out bus !
Don't fade any of your tracks. If a fade must be done, it will be done on the entiere song.
If possible, label your tracks clearly (Kick, Lead Vocal, FX1, etc.). It will save time for all the engineers who will work on your song.
Maybe the most important : make sur the tracks are exported strarting at the same poinnt (0:00 or before), unless they won't be in sync. If they aren't it will be hard (even sometimes impossible) to correctly sync the tracks by hand.
Compress your files in a .zip or .rar file, with maximum compression ratio setting : the file will be lighter, so you'll need less time to send it, or others to download it.
If you have any doubt about all theses rules, don't hesitate to contact us, we'll try to help you as much as we can.
Can I ask audio engineers to edit or arrange my song?
There is no rule on Moja-audio prohibiting this request. That said, editing and arranging are not the core business of the audio engineer, and our platform is not dedicated to editing and arranging. Such an objective could require many revisions because any opinion is completely subjective (this is a 100% artistic approach).
How to eliminate a participant?

On the other hand, when your project is launched, you will not be able to modify the temporality anymore. Indeed, participants commit to their availability. Changing the temporality of a project already started could put some participants in difficulty.
Can I edit my project information?
As long as your project is not launched, it is in the creation phase. You can make any changes you want. When your project is launched with our audio engineers community, you will not be able to edit it.
